Summer Fun

We have been having fun the past few weeks. Here is Kaden on a pony ride at Thanksgiving Point. $2 Tuesdays is the best!

Kaden loved seeing all the farm animals and playing in the little houses. It was the perfect activity for a 2 year old.

We headed up American Fork Canyon with my family for some hot dogs and smores. Kaden had a great time running through all the bushes and trees. Rob, Kaden, and I went up the next night to the same canyon but a different picnic area because Kaden had so much fun the night before. Just as we got our fire going the people at the picnic area next to us asked us why we were letting our toddler wander aroung with so many rattle snakes in the area. They said the park rangers had been removing rattle snakes from the picnic area all afternoon. There were signs everywhere, but for some reason we didn't notice them. We felt like huge idiots! We were too freaked out after that so we headed home.


We washed the cars. Kaden was a huge help!

We went to the Cache county fair. Kaden loved the animals and the merry-go-round.

We won some tickets to the Orem Owlz game and the Vest met us there. Kaden wasn't so interested in the baseball game, but love Hoots the owl mascot and the playground.

Last but not least, Rob and I celebrated our 7th wedding aniversary. We made a pack to stay together at least 20 years...so here's to 13 more. Ha Ha Ha, just kidding! Happy Aniversary Rob, Love ya!

Big Boy Bed For the Birthday Boy

Kaden is 2!!!!!

I can't believe my baby is a little boy. He is definitely growing up too fast! He refuses to sit in his high chair, insists on drinking from a cup rather than a sippy, and waves "night night" to me before lying down in his twin bed. What's left of my baby? Ah yes... diaper changing. At least I still have that to hold on to. Lucky, lucky me!

Here is Kaden's first night in his new bed. He was sooo excited.

That first night went great. Since then he has fallen out of bed once, came into our room at 3:00 a.m. asking for water once, and slept on the floor by his bed once. I never know what to expect each night, but so far so good.

Adventures at Grandparents House

We sent Kaden to Rob's parents house for a few days while Rob and I both had to work. He has been having a blast riding the lawn mower and working in the garden. Thanks Ed and Sharron for taking good care of our little guy!

We headed up to the zoo last week. Kaden had a blast.

Here are a few of Kadens favorite things right now.....

Powdered donuts...actually any donut will do.

Kaden is also talking a lot. Some of the cute things he says are:

" I no know" = I don't know

"pips" = chips

"wa wa" = water

"nuggle" = snuggle

"pipo" = pillow

One last thought...

We spents some time in Logan for a family reuinion. Here is Kaden having fun with his cousing Boston.

"No, No."

I planted an amarylis bulb in a pot and have been waiting patiently for it to bloom. It finally developed a beautiful, big, pink and white flower about 1 week ago. There was another blossom that was ready to open up within the next 1-2 days.I was so excited.
I have been telling Kaden not to touch the flower multiple times each day and every time he walks by it he says, "No, No."
Well last night Kaden brought me the blossom that hadn't quite opened up yet and said, "No, No." I about kicked him in the pants.
I bet he WANTED to pick the big pretty open blossom, but chickened out and picked the unopened blossom instead. That naughtly little stinker!

Aquarium Fun

We took Kaden to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. It was pretty fun. We got to pet sting rays. Kaden loved it. His shirt was soaked by the end.

He is laughing in this last picture. He thought it was sooo funny to touch them.

Kaden decided to give all the panguin posters kisses. I though it was cute. Rob had another opinion :)

It is a pretty fun place to take kids. Rob and I were exhausted by the time we left. We had to chase Kaden around the entire time we were there. He was acting like he had never left his house before. He's so wild!

I Can Grow Stuff. YEA!!!!!

We Planted a bunch of tulip bulbs last Halloween and they are finally showing their pretty faces.

Rob took Kaden for a ride in his 1968 Charger yesterday. Kaden loves playing in that car in our garage, but liked riding in it even more. There is a big M&M in the back that has been in there for years and Kaden thinks it is the funniest thing ever.
